The Basics
We aren't a bank or a lender. Think of us as your personal loan matchmaker Instead of you filling out dozens of applications at different banks, you fill out one quick form with us. We then use our smart tech to find which registered South African lenders are most likely to approve you.
Not a cent. Our service is 100% free for consumers. We get a small referral fee from the lenders if you choose to take out a loan with them. This allows us to keep our platform free and focused on finding you the best deal.
Never. When we show you your matches, you are welcome to compare them and walk away if none of them fit your needs. You only enter into an agreement when you digitally sign with a specific lender.
Eligibility & Credit
No. When you use MoneyHello to see your initial matches, we perform what's called a "soft search." This does not impact your credit score. If you decide to move forward with a specific lender, they will perform a final credit check as required by the NCR.
To use MoneyHello, you generally need to:
Most of our partner lenders require a regular salary from an employer. However, some of our specialized partners do consider pensioners. Currently, we do not have lenders in our network who provide loans solely based on SASSA grants.
Speed & Payouts
Through our partners, we can help you find anything from a small R500 "bridge" loan to larger personal loans of up to R250,000, depending on your income and credit profile.
Because we are a marketplace, rates vary between lenders. However, because we only work with NCR-registered providers, your interest rate is capped by South African law. You will see the exact interest rate and total cost of credit before you agree to anything.
